E. Pulmonary hypertension happens when there is too much pressure in the blood vessels from the heart to the lungs. The occurrence of the condition with chronic diseases such as lung disease and heart disease makes it a serious public health concern in the United States. The common underlying causes also reveal the seriousness of pulmonary hypertension (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, n.d.). Pulmonary arterial hypertension from connective tissue disease, high blood pressure, blood clots to the lungs, and chronic lung conditions provides insights into the multiple causes of pulmonary hypertension (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, n.d.). The vulnerability of women, non-Hispanic blacks, and older people above 75 years reinforces the need for evidence-based practices to protect the groups from morbidity and mortality threats.

A. Accurate and complete information on underlying causes of pulmonary hypertension are crucial to save more people from adverse health outcomes. The goal is to ensure that vulnerable groups such as women, the elderly, and non-Hispanic blacks understand the signs and symptoms associated with pulmonary hypertension. In this case, individuals can adopt the right health-seeking behavior when they observe symptoms such as dizziness, chest pains, and ankle swelling. Since there is no cure for pulmonary hypertension, individuals need to be aware of prevention measures, including tobacco cessation, to reduce the risk of high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, and chronic liver disease. Adherence to treatment procedures such as taking pills, inhaled medication, and diuretics is necessary to reduce the impact of pulmonary hypertension.
