Kyle's performance as a leader needs to be improved. Kyle's performance in the scenario includes his inability to manage K.C.'s behavior, his disappointment when the patient care conference was canceled, and his lack of communication with his manager, Jackie. Two standards of professional performance that Kyle is violating are communication and accountability. Kyle needs to communicate more effectively with his manager, Jackie and is not taking accountability for managing K.C.'s behavior.

For the performance improvement plan, the performance issues can be documented as follows: Kyle needs to communicate more effectively with his manager, Jackie, and take accountability for managing K.C.'s behavior. Kyle needs to demonstrate effective leadership skills in managing challenging patient behaviors. Kyle is not adhering to professional standards of behavior and communication in the workplace.

The implications of Kyle's behavior for organizational mission, vision, and goals are significant. Kyle's documented behaviors demonstrate a lack of leadership, professionalism, and respect for organizational policies and procedures. He was not held accountable for his actions, and his behavior did not align with the mission and values of the organization. Kyle's lack of responsiveness to patient care needs created an unsafe environment for patients, contrary to the organization's mission of providing safe, quality care (Alanezi et al.,2022). Additionally, his lack of accountability compromised the organization's ability to provide timely, evidence-based care and to meet the organization's goal of achieving Joint Commission standards.

Furthermore, Kyle's behavior negatively impacts the organization's vision of providing a supportive and collaborative environment for staff. Not only did he not receive guidance
